PPC 512,

PPC 512

This is the PPC 640 & 512 section. My PPC 640 came from E-bay, where as my 512 was a donation by Neil Brooke (see donations page).

Firstly the 640. I particularly liked the 640 (and the 512 for that matter) because of its full size keyboard, I find the small keyboards of modern day laptops rather fiddly, and they also keep moving the keys around!! Also a thing I liked is that it came with two disk drives. This means less disk swapping (something else that irritates me!). It also has an internal modem, but I have never used it apart from to phone my grandad up just to test it. The only down side to this computer is the screen, its terrible! It maybe wouldn't have been too bad if it had been back light, but as it is its very difficult to see.

Now for the 512. Basically it is a 640 but it only has one disk drive (although there is space for two) and also it only has 512k of mem compared to 640k of the PPC640 (hence the name...). Also, it does not have the internal modem.
