NO PIC IN LIBRARY
This is the PCW 8256 page. This PCW came from E-Bay. I bought it to replace my original PCW 8512 that had broken, and changed the drives and mem round to make it into a PCW 8512, but then I bought a new PCW 8512 from a junk shop, so I decided I would remove the 3 inch 720k drive, and replace it with a 3 1/2inch 729k drive. I know use this machine (and msodball) to do all my transferring from PC to PCW and the Spectrum +3 which is compatible with the Amstrad file system (CP/M). Of course the Spectrum is only compatible with the 180k capacity drives, so I have to put it on to another disk first using the 180k drive A of the PCW.
This is a very easy and simple way of transfering files from the PCW to the PC and vice versa. I did try using a serial connection and a null modem cable, but no matter what i tried i could not get the Amstrad to communicate with the PC so i gave in.
The printer is exactly the same as the 8512 printer, and is fully interchangeable between the two.
